People do not move around for the sake of it — rather, they travel because they want to reach things or places, whether it is shops, offices or simply to visit friends and relatives.”
Christian Wolmar, who has put his name forward for the Labour nomination for the next London mayoral election. It will be interesting to see if Wolmar’s radical ideas for improving London and its transport prove too much for the focus-group timidities of Nu Labour.
