Being carfree means saving money, staying fit and avoiding loads of hassle. Here are thoughts, photos, experiences, and ideas about living carfree: walking, active travel, public transport, places and spaces, things you see and do when you’re carfree. Plus occasional musings on behavioural economics – which I teach at the University of Brighton. All photos are by me unless credited. You're welcome to be a member, or share via social media. Carfree: Jean-Luc Mélenchon MEP, French presidential candidate
At least according to this article in The Guardian on April 6. Mélenchon represents the Front de Gauche, which is on the way to becoming the third most powerful party in France. Recent polls attribute him with up to 17% of the vote, putting him in third place (out of ten candidates) behind Union for a Popular Movement candidate, the incumbent President Nicolas Sarkozy and Socialist Party candidate, François Hollande. We will see about this, starting on Sunday, when France goes to the polls.
