Tony Magdi Memorial

As the days get longer, it’s hard to believe that Tony won’t be opening up his shop and dispensing fruit and vegetables, kind deeds and philosophical observations to the locavores of Hove.  As these flyers show, there’s to be a quiz night at The Westbourne pub (Thursday 27 January, 8pm) in aid of The Tony Magdi Memorial Fund. 

 

 

Various memorials are being mooted, including naming one of Brighton’s buses after Tony. Roger French, MD of the bus company, has noted that a year has to elapse between the passing and the naming. It seems right that when the time comes, Tony, so important to our community, should be remembered with a name check on a Brighton bus.
