It seems that the confusion over the Cycle to Work scheme is continuing, but at least there might be some better news at the end of it, according to this report in The Guardian. However, things don’t look good for rail fares, now slated for massive increases over the next few years, according to this report from the BBC. And what does this have to do with Not Trusting The State? Here’s a reminder of what the Coalition promised in its Programme for Government, published in May 2010. “We will turn the rail regulator into a powerful passenger champion….We are committed to fair pricing for rail travel.” (page 31). Yea, right…..
