Walking Is Free…

Unlike art. A life-sized sculpture by Giacometti of a bloke walking, L'Homme qui marche I (Walking Man I) was sold for a record £65m at a Sotheby's auction in London yesterday.  Good job the winning bidder hadn’t followed the maxim set out by GM Trevelyan, “After a day's walk everything has twice its usual value.” Or maybe he had….
